Consiste en proteger la tierra extendiendo una capa de m\u00e1ximo 5-7 cm de materiales org\u00e1nicos, como paja u hojarasca. Despu\u00e9s de acolchar, recordad regar con regadera para evitar que el viento se lleve la paja y las hojas. Si os preocupa mucho la presencia de aves, pod\u00e9is tambi\u00e9n colocar comederos para p\u00e1jaros y proporcionarles comida o instalar una malla antip\u00e1jaros.
