Hoy queremos repasar el origen de esta fiesta, y daros algunas ideas para relacionarlo con el huerto el pr\u00f3ximo curso&#8230;<\/span><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<p>La Fiesta de Halloween (v\u00edspera de Todos los Santos) tiene su origen en la fiesta pagana celta -Samhain-, que celebraba el final del verano (el 31 de octubre), junto al rito cristiano en torno al D\u00eda de Todos los santos (el 1 de noviembre).<\/p>\n<p>En su versi\u00f3n pagana, la fiesta daba inicio a un nuevo ciclo, a partir del equinoccio de oto\u00f1o, que marcaba el fin de las cosechas de verano y el comienzo de los d\u00edas cortos y fr\u00edos. La creencia marcaba que durante esa noche los muertos paseaban entre los vivos intentando llevarse consigo alg\u00fan alma. La soluci\u00f3n era disfrazarse tambi\u00e9n de \u00abno vivos\u00bb para no ser arrastrados al inframundo, y hacer ofrendas a los muertos. En la versi\u00f3n cristiana, se trataba de hacer un homenaje a todos aquellos santos que murieron durante los primeros siglos del cristianismo. A partir de ah\u00ed, durante mucho siglos, en cada lugar y cultura se han ido a\u00f1adiendo y modificando las tradiciones en torno a esta fiesta.<\/p>\n<p>Hoy por hoy, en la mayor\u00eda de las ocasiones tenemos como modelo la fiesta que se celebra en EEUU, con el \u00abtruco o trato\u00bb y los disfraces, y la calabaza como s\u00edmbolo omnipresente. Aunque en nuestro pa\u00eds hay tambi\u00e9n muchas otras tradiciones como la casta\u00f1ada, los bu\u00f1uelos&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfY por qu\u00e9 uno de los s\u00edmbolos es la calabaza?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En el origen estadounidense de la Fiesta de Halloween, est\u00e1 la migraci\u00f3n irlandesa masiva que tuvo lugar en el S. XIX a consecuencia de la Gran Hambruna que sufri\u00f3 el pa\u00eds por culpa del <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Leptinotarsa_decemlineata\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">escarabajo de la patata<\/a>. La fiesta celta se hab\u00eda ido mezclando con la tradici\u00f3n cristiana en irlanda, de tal manera que uno de los s\u00edmbolos era el nabo, con el que se hac\u00edan soportes para el encendido de las velas que ayudaban a los muertos a encontrar su camino de regreso al inframundo.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando los irlandeses llegaron a EEUU, no hab\u00eda nabos, por lo que se empezaron a utilizar las calabazas (muy cultivadas en EEUU) para el mismo fin.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900\">\u00bfY qu\u00e9 podemos hacer nosotros en el huerto para celebrar Haloween?<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\">Podemos, por ejemplo decorarlo y realizar alguna funci\u00f3n utilizando el huerto como escenario. Pero tambi\u00e9n podemos aprovechar el momento para realizar la cosecha de las calabazas cultivadas durante el verano, y hacer algunas recetas con calabaza.
