Cualquier sitio es bueno si el proyecto merece la pena y mucho m\u00e1s si la ilusi\u00f3n por sacarlo adelante es uno de los principales ingredientes. En este caso unos 50 metros cuadrados de patio acogen el proyecto de huerto urbano<\/strong> que se ha puesto en marcha en el Centro Municipal de Mayores Santa Hortensia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

El pasado viernes, junto con Mauricio Valiente, Presidente Concejal del Distrito de Chamart\u00edn, tuvimos la ocasi\u00f3n de visitar el Centro Social Santa Hortensia, donde sus trabajadoras sociales nos contaron cu\u00e1l es el trabajo que desarrollan, sus necesidades y tambi\u00e9n inquietudes con respecto al centro, que fue reformado hace unos meses y donde se encuentra ubicado uno de los tres Centros Municipales de Mayores del Distrito de Chamart\u00edn.<\/p>\n
Precisamente es en el Centro Municipal Santa Hortensia donde surge la iniciativa de comenzar a desarrollar un huerto urbano dentro del patio de dicho centro. Hace cosa de medio a\u00f1o las voluntarias y voluntarios del equipo de dinamizaci\u00f3n del Centro Municipal de Mayores creyeron que el proyecto podr\u00eda ser una buena idea para sacar provecho de este espacio que hasta entonces se encontraba en desuso. La actividad tuvo muy buena acogida entre las socias y socios quienes con la ayuda del personal voluntario cada d\u00eda cuidan de este huerto en el que en este momento cultivan pimientos, tomates, berenjenas, fresas y plantas arom\u00e1ticas y con una orientaci\u00f3n de cultivo rotacional seg\u00fan la \u00e9poca del a\u00f1o de la que se trate.<\/p>\n
El objetivo es que a trav\u00e9s de la actividad desarrollada en el huerto pueda compartirse un espacio donde socializar<\/strong>. En este sentido, una de las socias del centro comenta que participar en el huerto le permite compartir experiencias, conocimientos y la autorrealizaci\u00f3n mediante el cultivo de las plantas. No se trata de obtener un gran volumen de productos, si no de pasar un buen rato con el resto de socios mediante una actividad que en las ciudades es complicada de llevar a cabo y que adem\u00e1s permite disfrutar del aire libre y de la compa\u00f1\u00eda de otras compa\u00f1eras y compa\u00f1eros que participan en ella.<\/p>\n
