Hace unos d\u00edas el Puente de Toledo era testigo de la presentaci\u00f3n de la gran cita deportiva con la que la Junta Municipal de Carabanchel arranca su mes del deporte<\/strong>. La media marat\u00f3n cumple la segunda edici\u00f3n y este a\u00f1o su embajador es el maratoniano ol\u00edmpico Dani Mateo<\/strong>. \u00a0El atleta tiene su rol muy claro: \u201cHay que apoyar cualquier iniciativa en ese sentido, y mucho m\u00e1s si es en lo que uno trabaja\u201d, bromea al tiempo que insiste en que le \u201cencanta que se potencie el deporte, el atletismo y la vida saludable\u201d.<\/p>\n

Nos atiende desde Font Romeu, en Francia, mientras entrena en altitud. \u00a0Porque correr es de valientes y en cualquier emplazamiento. \u201cCorrer dinamiza barrios, pueblos, ciudades y tiene su impacto positivo en la salud\u201d, dice, encantado y satisfecho porque \u201cun chico de Soria va a correr en Madrid\u201d.<\/p>\n

Un modesto chico de Soria que es el atleta con may\u00fasculas que representar\u00e1, presumiblemente, a Espa\u00f1a en el Campeonato de Europa de Atletismo que se celebrar\u00e1 en M\u00fanich el pr\u00f3ximo mes de agosto<\/strong>. Consigui\u00f3 el billete para el europeo en la marat\u00f3n de Sevilla con un tiempo de 2 horas y 11 minutos, y confiesa encontrarse en un per\u00edodo \u201cde transici\u00f3n entre carreras. Es un proceso que se hace largo sin objetivos a corto plazo y mirando al mes de agosto, entrenando mucho y dando continuidad al trabajo\u201d, asegura.<\/p>\n

Lo afronta con ganas e ilusi\u00f3n y con \u201cun plus de querer morder y sufrir porque, si todo va bien, el 15 de agosto voy a lucharlo\u201d.<\/p>\n

Con la media Marat\u00f3n, Carabanchel arranca en junio su mes dedicado al deporte y Mateo aprovecha el nuevo recorrido homologado por la Real Federaci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola de Atletismo<\/strong> para acumular kil\u00f3metros en su camino al campeonato. Concretamente 21 kil\u00f3metros muy madrile\u00f1os con salida y meta en el puente de Toledo, en pleno Madrid R\u00edo. La prueba pasar\u00e1 por los lugares m\u00e1s emblem\u00e1ticos del distrito como la Colonia de la Prensa, la plaza de Carabanchel, la finca de Santa Rita o la ermita de San Isidro.<\/p>\n

\u201cCuando voy a Madrid siempre intento correr por esa zona, viniendo de Soria siempre se intenta buscar lo fresco y es un entorno s\u00faper agradable y con muchas posibilidades porque pasas por sitios muy bonitos en los dos lados del r\u00edo. El Retiro es un pulm\u00f3n urbano y eres consciente de que est\u00e1s dentro de la ciudad, pero Madrid R\u00edo est\u00e1 a mano y no te lo esperas<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n

Porque Carabanchel y Madrid R\u00edo no son un escenario desconocido para uno de los representantes del atletismo espa\u00f1ol en el marat\u00f3n de los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de Tokyo 2020. \u00a0\u201cLa Media Marat\u00f3n de Carabanchel se va a correr en una hora y con unas condiciones adecuadas\u201d y contribuye \u201ca que se ampl\u00ede el circuito runner <\/em>en la distancia. Hay que ir a intentar tener carreras todo el a\u00f1o y no s\u00f3lo unos meses concretos<\/strong>\u201d, afirma.<\/p>\n

As\u00ed que el pr\u00f3ximo domingo 5 de junio, regresa la Media Marat\u00f3n de Carabanchel y en su segunda edici\u00f3n trae novedades: m\u00e1s carreras populares, retransmisi\u00f3n en directo en YouTube y premios en met\u00e1lico. A la prueba tradicional de 21 Kil\u00f3metros-Ruta 21 K, se suman nuevas carreras de distancias menores, la 7K 7 Puentes-Runbow Race, siete kil\u00f3metros en el entorno de algunos puentes emblem\u00e1ticos de Madrid R\u00edo, y la carrera popular Media Marat\u00f3n Carabanchel Milla Kids con distancias adaptadas a las edades de los ni\u00f1os.<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n habr\u00e1 una carrera infantil para las categor\u00edas prebenjam\u00edn, benjam\u00edn y alev\u00edn, de car\u00e1cter gratuito y con inscripciones el mismo d\u00eda de la prueba. Mateo ha animado a la participaci\u00f3n en este evento en el que \u201chay de todo para todos. Carreras infantiles para participar en familia u otras como el 7K\u201d, que recorre siete postas: los puentes de San Isidro, Toledo, Monumental de Arganzuela, de Praga, C\u00e1scara del Matadero, C\u00e1scara del Invernadero y Santa Catalina.<\/p>\n

Una fiesta deportiva, abierta a toda la familia desde las 9:00 h del d\u00eda 5 de junio, con la que arranca el mes del deporte en Carabanchel.<\/strong><\/p>\n
