Se han censado m\u00e1s de 50 especies de aves, algunas de ellas de gran importancia para la biodiversidad de la ciudad, como la garza real, la garceta, la gallineta, el martinete, el mart\u00edn pescador o el chorlitejo chico. Tambi\u00e9n pueden verse diferentes especies de gaviotas, fochas comunes o \u00e1nades reales.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-12356 gallery-columns-3 gallery-size-full'><figure \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>En cuanto a los peces, el barbo, especie aut\u00f3ctona, ha pasado a ser el dominante en el r\u00edo frente a especies invasoras, como la carpa. Por otro lado, la asociaci\u00f3n ecologista GREFA ha liberado ejemplares de gal\u00e1pago leproso para contribuir a la biodiversidad de la fauna en el corredor fluvial.<\/p>\n<p>El objetivo es potenciar la fauna aut\u00f3ctona creando mejores condiciones para su desarrollo y tambi\u00e9n impuls\u00e1ndola con su reintroducci\u00f3n, frente a especies invasoras, como pueden ser la carpa o los gal\u00e1pagos de florida, cuya suelta en espacios naturales est\u00e1 prohibida.<\/p>\n<p>La renaturalizaci\u00f3n del Manzanares fue una propuesta de Ecologistas en Acci\u00f3n, que realiza un seguimiento de la misma junto al Ayuntamiento. Esta acci\u00f3n est\u00e1 incluida en el Plan A de Calidad del Aire y Cambio Clim\u00e1tico, que incluye medidas basadas en la naturaleza para adaptar la ciudad al cambio clim\u00e1tico, ya que los entornos naturales reducen la llamada \u201cisla de calor\u201d que se produce en las ciudades.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-2' class='gallery galleryid-12356 gallery-columns-3 gallery-size-full'><figure \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<h2>Obras y plantaciones<\/h2>\n<p>La renaturalizaci\u00f3n del Manzanares se ha conseguido por s\u00ed sola, tan solo con la apertura de compuertas, en buena parte del tramo urbano. Adem\u00e1s, entre el puente de los Franceses y el puente de Reina Victoria (1,3 kil\u00f3metros) se han realizado obras de acondicionamiento y plantaciones para favorecer la biodiversidad. Las obras, llevadas a cabo por el \u00c1rea de Medio Ambiente y Movilidad, ya han finalizado y han contado con una inversi\u00f3n de 1.216.054 euros.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de que este tramo del r\u00edo ten\u00eda un aspecto m\u00e1s natural que el resto del cauce, no dejaba de ser una canalizaci\u00f3n con escolleras de grandes piedras y fuerte inclinaci\u00f3n que imped\u00edan el desarrollo de una vegetaci\u00f3n natural en las orillas. La vegetaci\u00f3n arbustiva y arb\u00f3rea era casi inexistente, estaba en mal estado y con presencia de especies ex\u00f3ticas e invasoras. Tambi\u00e9n se ha acondicionado un camino junto al r\u00edo y se ha instalado una barandilla nueva.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-3' class='gallery galleryid-12356 gallery-columns-3 \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>En total, se han realizado 5.230 plantaciones, entre ellas, 113 olmos resistentes a la enfermedad de la grafiosis, donados por el Estado; esta especie estaba pr\u00e1cticamente desaparecida de las riberas de los r\u00edos por culpa de dicha enfermedad, que se convirti\u00f3 en una plaga. Las otras especies plantadas han sido: fresnos, \u00e1lamos blancos, alisos, majuelos, sa\u00facos, rosas silvestres, tarays y sauces.<\/p>\n<p>En los taludes de este tramo situado entre el puente de los Franceses y el de Reina Victoria, se est\u00e1 haciendo una gesti\u00f3n de la vegetaci\u00f3n espont\u00e1nea acorde con los nuevos criterios de renaturalizaci\u00f3n para mantener las \u201cmalas hierbas\u201d mientras sirven de alimento a las aves, aunque despu\u00e9s se segar\u00e1n antes de su agostamiento.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El proceso de renaturalizaci\u00f3n del r\u00edo Manzanares ha permitido el crecimiento de la vegetaci\u00f3n espont\u00e1nea y, con ella, la fauna aut\u00f3ctona.
